Sticky Stuff

A song about my relationship to letting go of things.

› Lyrics

This is a sunday speedrun and started out as speedtrash. Had originally planned on doing something else that didn't come together in time, so I went back to something more comfortable - and I gotta say, I don't hate the result. I need to push myself every time I try to write lyrics, but every time it ends up being somewhat therapeutic.

Excellent stuff! It feels longer than it is, but not in a bad way. It's a really need little track. The vocal delivery , the sound of the beasts and groove are all great. Well done!

And in the words of Fight Club: "Things you own end up owning you". It can be so hard to get rid off that stuff you dragged through time with you. I have loads of old and useless things I need to discard as well. But somehow that is not easy, even though it's no longer useful nor relevant anymore. sigh Best not to dwell on it, I suppose. lol

I love the vocal processing, cool effects that don't go against vocs, but add to them.

Great beat as well, very rubbery big_smile also how did you do this as a speedrun I have no idea. Sounds like way more work tbh

this is awesome! it's got that omg shoes vibe, but much harder. love it and def have plenty of sticky stuff that follows me haha, wait...

YES. i know i've said it before, but i really love your voice & the way you mix it.
that de-esser move is a cool technique! worked very well.
