Return with Grit

It`s time!!
Productivity fell off quie a bit last year, like I've never recovered from the hole I fell into after Weeklybeats 2024 was done. Right now, the task seems daunting. But I have some friends tagging along this year, so I'm hoping for some fun collabs!
This one happened as the M8 was in Beta 6.3, so I left home for the holidays with a test SD card in the slot. Only stock samples and synths on this track! My starting point was the GM Drum Kit cowbell with a shit ton of distortion, re-rendered to use as some kind of lead sound. Multiple re-renders later, I had enough stuff to chop to make a fun groove. Started early because I'm still travelling, but cheating aside I think this is a good start. Happy new year, everyone!

Thanks! I usually try to somewhat avoid "typical" build-ups like this, but this time it just fit!

Thanks! For the distortion, I was having fun using an iPad as an FX device to some processing to my sample chops. It really broight out the bass and kinda set the tone for the track.

ROOAAAR!

Love it when the dry beat hits after that prolonged intro.
Super tight sounddesign, clean mix and a sweet upbeat groove makes my head bop.

hell ya, LaBernd!

Loving this one. Respect for doing a proper 7 and a half minute plus dance groove.  The build at 3:50 is a huge win to me.

Man, that main groove is so great. Deep and groovy, but lots of space.

Cheers! I find that space really is the key to funk. smile

This is super fucky keep me bopping the whole way

very groovy!!! I think this would be a good track for to get people onto the dance floor... I like the metallic loop that is in the forefront all the time. It has nice 90´s acid house vibe to it and the softer stuff in the background makes a nice counterpoint.
