Smokeless stone

Another pure bass creation, inspired by what @dreat wrote me: “Solo bass
Acoustic stoner doom metal”

Essentially: bass without effects and no instruments.

I merely used:
- Compressor
- EQ
- Delay

I think it was a fun test, but I wanted to see how far I couple push it. A bit dry and bare-bone but it works.

HOWEVER, we recorded a version with drums, guitars on a jam with @dreat and @BurnedOutSun , which the latter might have published this week. It was cool overall.

That sounds like dark meditation a bit. Something like embracing more negative feelings, maybe some evil monk order training.

Also gives me Tool vibes here and there (might be delayed slide up tho big_smile )

It works amazingly well as a solo track, tres bien!

Thanks! Yeah it has a lot of potential in ways of expressing emotions or at least feelings.

And the Tool vibes are really there, when I played it “dry” I didn’t hear it, but once you engage the delay it’s just there big_smile

More doom than metal, but I think the metal can be inferred. Really cool sound, and the delay makes it hypnotic. I'd love to have nightmares to this one.
