Madeleine Citron

Yet another iPhone creation (recording, mixing etc.), but that is what this year is about anyway. Probably one of my strongest creation in my opinion.
Madeleine are little cakes typical of French cuisine and I love to make them. It also happens that we had lemons (citron) at home in the South of France and I will cook just about everything with it. It’s a taste of home.
This song is that, it’s a bit of sun from the Mediterranean sea, the smell of citrus and just a fresh morning when I was a kid.
Got inspired by a lot of Parcels I was listening to lately and wanted to do “medieval funk”, which happens to sound almost like flamenco… who knows? Besides, solos have always been my weakest point and bass heavy stuff is my staple. This was a completely new style for me and I loved it.
Enjoy!
