This sounds amazing - the kick & bass hit hard and I love how twitchy it all is. Lead patch is CHOICE. I can't wrap my head around how you "played" the main two synths using FX commands.

[spoiler= The FM patch isn't that complicated, really] In the simplest form, it takes only 2 Operators. Let's say, one set to a sine wave, and one to a saw wave. Use the algorithm A+B+C+D. From the Instrument Screen, set the Pitch of the Saw Operator to be controlled by FM MOD1: 1>PIT Now you can sequence a bass line on the Phrase Screen and offset the pitch of the Saw Operator using FM1xx to add a melody on top. Then experiment with Distortion, Volume modulation from the Mod Screen and everything else you can think of! [/spoiler]

I have a few open projects that started as weekly beats, but then I quickly realized they are too big to complete in that time frame. That's okay. Their time will come.

I also often do separate sound design sessions as it's a separate pastime I enjoy, somewhat separate from actual music making. So when it's time for weekly beats, I often already have a bunch of sounds I can work with.
