Making up for lost time is easier when you're actually just hanging out for a weekend. Been a good one, been going out and talking to people. I usually avoid that because just going out by myself and trying to find company and make friends on the go is kinda terrifying. But I had a great weekend. Fun story: the first random guy I got talking to - turns he used to date someone I went to school with years ago in a completely different part of the country.

Anyway, about this weeks track! For the small amount of time I've been working on this there's actually an impressive amount of stuff on the cutting room floor, like 60% percent of the project size is being taken up by stuff I scrapped. I wanted to make sure that I felt the track kept being interesting to work on for me, and that was a fun thing to focus on. In the end, it made for only about 90secs of music, but it makes up for it by staying engaging throughout. Some inspiration from learning Afrocuban beats on the drums earlier this week, a lot of going back to the dirty broken sound of week 6 that I still love very much, paired with beat mangling.

super cool track,, love the way that bassy synth works against the beat.

and hey, glad to hear you had a great weekend!

Thanks! Never thought of it that way, but yeah, I guess the bass and the beat do sort of dance around each other.

That was a good fun track. Thanks.

THIS BASS LINE RUUULESSSSS!!!!!!! Awesome chunky bass, I love it.

Very brave going to people like that, where's you go?
I hope the 60% you scrapped didn't contain a melody; engaging as it is, it could use one.
