Josh’s heart

By LaScience on January 28, 2024 8:28 pm

Like lots of Cavalier’s, our dog Josh is suffering from a congestive heart failure and we nearly lost him a few months ago. We had again a near miss a few days ago, from which he recovered. I spent the night, watching the clock, checking his breathing and heart beat.
Although we have a lot of pictures of him, I have only a few “field recordings” which is a pity since they give a bigger feeling of intimacy. So I went through the sound recordings I have of him and of things we have in our house (clock, heating system, etc.) and I assembled them in this piece.

This might have been one of the last things I expected to hear on WB, at least as a newcomer.
This felt rather silent-hill-ey, and I can appreciate such a vibe.
I've been in the same situation with some of my pets and as time moves slower and slower, the more intense the feelings get.

Give Josh a few hugs and snootboops from me!

Hope the dog can have still a bit of good times with you. Take care!

What a wonderful way to capture these memories. Enjoy your time with Josh; dogs are the best.
