Does it Drone 1

In this weeks episode of Does it Drone we ask "can you take a 4 minute feedback loop and make a dark ambient bass drone?". The answer...kinda. Basically I EQ's the fuck out of a feedback sample I made in '24 opening the low end as high as I could, sculpting the mids with a few LFO's and killing anything above 1K. The other sounds is just a guitar loop played way too low and out of key with a few effects.

Additional - yesterday afternoon I actually thought to myself that I would be fine mixing the track this morning after seeing Till last night. Some decisions are dumber than others.

Does it drone? That is the question!

I would say Yes! What a great atmosphere. And that change that comes in around 2:40 - awesome. Practically sounds like strings. And what an ending.

I want to make a short film and use this as the soundtrack (I don’t make films). Or tell some of my filmmaker friends they need to use this as a soundtrack 😁

IT DRONES!

Its really awesome, especially around 2 mins when that really low sub feedback starts to resonate underneath. Pardon me that shit is pure gold.

This is really well structured and has articulation and dynamics, something a lot of drone music seems to flub. I need to do a drone month. This is so inspiring, really haunting.
