Waiting for the punchline

By laguna on July 1, 2018 11:34 pm

I swear to myself I wouldn't use the filter on the main mix, but here we are, again smile

This is just a beat, hardly a complete song, made in about 2 and a half hours. I built this using scraps from various projects dating back from 2004 along with a tight drum loop I never took anywhere.

It doesn't have anything to do with comedy, but I came with that title. I'm really tired and sleepy. Just 3 more days before I end my shift.

Contains a heavily chopped sample of the magnificent and dearest chilean folk band INTI ILLIMANI, performing "Canción de la Reforma Agraria". However, there's not a single complete word in spanish. Any proper phrase you belive you hear is the result of random phonemes combined.

Peace, everyone

Really good sampling/plunderphonics going on! I went to listen to Inti-Illimani's song afterwards (it is very nice as well) and I love what you've done with it! Great drum loop too, I particularly like that punchy snare smile

It's short, but it's good. And that works for me!

Cool sampling of INTI ILLIMANI, especially those harp-like parts bouncing around.
