Just three to go, fellas! It's almost unbelievable smile

This one's a little bit different from my usual stuff. I've been messing lately with the Monome emulator for Launchpad and tried some MIDI only, melodic weird sequencer called Polygome. Made a quick jam with it plugged to my trusty Modart Pianoteq Stage piano plugin, and chopped it in Ableton, adding some automation and effects.

Just recorded the audio. Wish I could have exported the MIDI notes so I could add some intensity variations but, overall, I'm quite happy with the spontaneous result. One audio track, two sends for delay and reverb.

My pretty simple take on minimalism... quite more chip oriented that my man Michael Nyman, which I respect and admire smile

Hope you find it funny. I'm looking forward to hear your stuff !!!

Definitely something different from you this week! I really like it- especially in the context of your other pieces - feels like an interlude to me, although I also wouldn't have been surprised by a thunderous bass and kick all of a sudden! It's going to be one of those wake up pieces on my playlist. Thanks!

Thanks, mate ! i think those "thunderous kicks and basses" are usually my confort zone, and I should get out of it from time to time. If I had the time, I would have enjoyed some Roland CR-78 soft kicks and bleeps... Maybe for a possible Soundcloud version/remix. Thanks again for listening and commenting smile

his one's really beautiful, mate. I'll put into my phone for those "Escher" moments... you know, when you feel like an endless staircase in some kind of parallel dimension...

Definitely Escheresque. It also segued beautifully into this week's entry by Tone Matrix.

Much faved!

Awesome way to comp/ arrange this! Obligatory:

Whoah, dudes... "Escher Music"... I want that to be the name of my Krautrock tribute band. Thank you all for the compliments

And Tone Matrix piece really rocked smile

I tried to do that to my cat but he's a big one suffering from excess of personality... He almost kill me.

Thanks!!!

Love it! Nice work, laguna!

Superb piano minimalism, definitely feels like the soundtrack to an Escher image.

i love polygome! And your usage of it is just wonderful! Out of interest, which emulation did you use? Once i had this one (http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device.php?id=141) but it's broken since Live 9. I've used Gridlock some times ( http://sigabort.co/gridlock.html ) but it's a bit pain in the ass to setup. And btw. thanks a lot once again for your tips last week regarding the Meeblip/Volca/Waldorf. Meanwhile i have a new little friend on my desk and maybe we'll get to know each other until next weeklybeats-deadline. wink

Beautiful work!  Nice delay, filtering, processing...and a highly compelling motive!
