Thanks a lot, Mission Crossing! The track came out OK in the end. I'd loke to add a little variation every 4 or 8 bars instead of just "make a drum fill", but I'm happy I took one more song out of the "unfinished" bin

About the bassline... maybe yes, you have a good point. I think in the end a bassline would give it a certain need or expectation of a whole developed track, though without is somewhat a "fake" intermission feeling, like 2 musicians jamming in the studio

Happy belated birthday!  I can relate to the struggles of training new young team members, can be very frustrating, maybe we are just old but I find they feel very entitled.  The beat has a very nice shuffle to it, great little melody on top of the beat.  I hope you are doing well and I see you haven't been on here the last couple weeks, miss your sounds, hope to see you back next week.
