Cubicle boy is sad (the Corporate Crasher anthem)

By laguna on December 10, 2018 12:01 am

Missed one last week, though thanks (BIG THANKS) to Wisefire for this late upload. Lots of work and some not so nice moments this week.

This one's my idea of dark, I guess. Started a little atonal, just loud harsh drums, but reserved a dreamy pad to add some hope. I even wrote some kind of "poem" for the track.

Two tracks, two sends. One Akai s950 saturation plugin and nothing more. I was feeling sparse, I guess

I guess it's a cool name for an indy game smile
HAVE A GREAT WEEK, EVERYBODY!!!

The cubicle boy is sad and lonely,
lonely in his workspace.
No one seems to notice.
No one seems to care.
Managers keep on pushing,
otherwise it would be strange.
But late at night, sad cubicle boy,
late at nigh, he will have his revenge.

A masterpiece (and I don't say that lightly). Cubicle Boy rules! This goes on my playlist.

Whoah! What a compliment! I feel flattered and well... overwhelmed smile

Thanks a lot, Jim, indeed. I hope to develop more on this Cubicle Boy character being ignored and daydreaming of a better life. Maybe a good theme for a future EP?

So much is achieved with so little. A determined manoeuvre with the salvaged remains of a hollowed existence.

This one surprised me, wasn’t expecting the hard/industrial drums, but I like them, the pad certainly adds a glimmer of light, the glitchy drums kind of reminded me of funkstorung’s “Grammy winners”

fanf*ckingtastic

Really nice contrast between those pads and the drums. Great stuff heart
