Bifröst dub

By laguna on July 10, 2022 11:57 pm

Really really tired. My family woke me up twice while finishing this one, and I'm afraid a lot of elements are missing. I was planning some cool vocal samples and some reggae fill ins, but I run out of time and energy.

Yesterday I drove 3 hours, arrived at home from work, just in time to go see the Pride Parade here in Madrid. Sound systems and songs weren't the coolest (compared to other years) ... though maybe it was me that was too tired. Anyway, it was nice and uplifting to see so many people so happy, just being themselves.

So, "Bifröst" is the rainbow bridge that joins Earth and Asgard, and since Pride and the new Thor... I thought it was a suitable name.

Props for anyone recognizing the beats in the middle of the song wink

Lost of love, WB people. I'm going straight to bed. Please take care and be happy !!!

glad you made it down to the Pride Parade.

that's the way isn't it? how can we help make that the case more and more and more worldwide? i'm pretty sure music is a part of it. have you ever watched "pump up the volume" or other documentaries on the history of house music? super connected to these ideas (and the LGBTQ+ community)

i'm not historied enough to know the beat in the middle, but love the thor and asgard reference (i still haven't watched love&thunder yet). i'll be sampling this for this week so stay tuned!

I get the reggae feel with the bass and the laid back beat. It tastes of the summer. I like the second movement from 0:50 on, like an interlude from a dream.
