Carrying on with last week's experiment. Trying a few more things with just the Pro Tools signal generator and only a few basic Audiosuite manipulations: Reverse, time-shifter, vari-fi and EQ. Everything else is fine cuts on the timeline and some reverb because reverb makes everything good.

I used to use this freeware tone generator program where you just set a frequency and it just made a tone and I'd plug the laptop headphone out into a bunch of effects, this is much better lol

I like that idea. Especially with pedals, you can use all sorts of things to excite them. I used to use distortion pedals to amplify noise from a long, unterminated cable just to be some kind source to mess around with. Detuned radios are also pretty good, especially if you get a spot between stations that has some of those weird intermod sounds.
