Vampirella

By Kedbreak136 on May 12, 2024 4:51 am

It does not really sound like what a track named "Vampirella" should sound like but it was loosely inspired by the memory of reading pulp comics of marvels, and especially the good old conan the barbarian black and white stories. Add lots of drums, some synths, an old clock (?) and an hapsichord (??), shake twice, and ready to consume.

Nice. Encore une de tes track avec ta signature.

Bien joué!

Maybe it's the harpsichord and that arp melody right before it but it has a Vampirella meets Simon Belmont of Castlevania sorta feel smile  But I had visions of being in a sparsely occupied comic shop while the comicbook_dude plays Castlevania.  Vampirella leaps out of a poster and Simon out of the screen, action begineth! but the clock says otherwise.. comicbook_dude was just droolin on the counter, nappin on the job.  Awesome melodies always takes me to a great place smile

somehow makes me imagine vampirella driving around neon-drenched miami in a ferrari convertible. wild combination of influences and aesthetics, love the unexpected result.

I feel like someone made a Vampirella Saturday morning cartoon in the 80's and then somehow transported it into the future to get a little extra seasoning.

Awesome journey. Love the funky throwback vibes and vibrant energy. keep it coming!

ADVENTURE MUSIC!

tik tok, it's time to gooo .. on a dance adventure, we go through streets, into the underground too. I think vampires are here. Huge drums, love the synths. Perfect bridge where the harpsichord resets us. What a ride!

Super fun track, like that didgeridoo type synth at 0:50, drums sound fantastic and some really tasty transitions, catch your breath then back at it.

Cool track! The huge shift around the 2minute mark is quite the surprise. But not nearly as big a surprise as when things kick into gear again. Neat stuff!!

I thought I was supposed to shake it, but it shook me instead. Nice work :-)

This track is super fun! Really enjoyed it. Quite groovy and heavy at the same time. Lots of good melodies in here.

Thank you! If i did revist this track, maybe I would restructure it and focus more on hapsichord section and turn it into a full blown black and white vintage vampire movie music or castlevania track. Maybe that's what it has become in a parallel universe.

I think the drums on this track were from the Ilan Rubin's splice pack. His sound is HUGE! Thank you for the nice comment!

Thank you very much for your nice comment! I had to check what was the digeridoo synth. Oh i never noticed that one sounds like a didgeridoo! Now I cannot unhear it and will use it as such!

I'd argue it's even a bit too much. I need to polish my transitions a little more. Sometimes my track are the audio equivalent of patchwork. smile

Kind of catchy electronic pop almost with a classical tilt.  Could be great circus show much even!
