Misdirection

By Kedbreak136 on May 2, 2026 10:08 am

As I had a very limited time this Saturday, I jumped and went full on speedtrash. My FL Studio timer tells me the track took 38 minutes...

Misdirection, as in the trick that magician uses to divert attention. I heavily use Arps for misdirection as they look deceivingly complex even though they are super easy to add.

So yeah, speedtrash but hey it still counts!

It may have been speedy, but there's no arguing that the arps sound really good.  Just big and bright and energetic.

sick tone on the synths and drums. excellent proof of what hundreds of tracks teach you in terms of how fast u can make smth that sounds great.

Always a fan of your arp sorcery! \m/ Oooh love that half time drum part too. Amazing! I think I spent 38 mins just trying to get my mic hooked up this week yikes

arps to the rescue! i danced  \m/

Not just arps, but layered in counterpoint; both in pitch-wise structure and timbre, makes for such an evocative track! Even though your process felt 'speedy' to you, it comes through as expert-level work heart

Yes I guess that's the positive perspective. After doing a lot of tracks, I know how to make a half decent omlet. smile Thank you for listening!

Yes but what you capture is always raw emotion with that beautiful mic!
