MacSynthwave with Cheese

By Kedbreak136 on September 4, 2022 1:36 am

I was not super inspired this week so went for the fast food of version of music tracs - a MacSynthwave with Cheese. It did take me more time that I would care to admit and I am not super happy with the lack of originality or imagination in this track, but it kinda works and a track is a track is a track is a track.

In an interesting twist of synchronicity, I watched this movie again last night. Still holds up really well, much like your synthwave fast-food. smile

makes me wanna ride on a magical highway bathed in eternal sunsets heart

This really would be fun driving music.  It has that propulsive rhythm and an upbeat energy.

Sell it to Stranger Things.  Hehe.  Definite 80s power vibe going on!

a powerful energetic track. It has cool synthmelodies and nice little soundcreatures I like. well done.

Even your fast food is haute cuisine.

I guess I unironically find synthwave cool, because this legitimately sounds cool.

Stop that.

The chorus that plays until the ending SFX sounds unstoppable.

Soaring and moving along, enjoying this! Yes love that melody on the string like instrument later on, then the end is so satisfying! a track is a track, and your synwave satisfies like a good meal

Oooh the synthwavey goodness in this throughout makes me miss old 80s tv show themes in this style (ala Streethawk).  Love the percussion that adds to the pulsing beat.  That synth lead sounds awesome supported by the arps and bass.  Excellent sfx-outro too!

Solid track, executed very well, fun and energetic, nice touch with the added robotic whirs and bleeps and the changeup in the last third with the guitar like synth.

Oh this is cool -- that epic ending / sparse plucked strings over the beat combo is way dope. Noises around 1:26-27 or so are awesome -- how are they made?

Epic journey / adventure music! Love the seamless blending of styles and instrumentation. Middle part is new wave deliciousness!

Tarantino movies are timeless pieces, like Sergio Leone's spaghetti westerns and Kurosawa's samurai movies.

We are indeed in a 80s revival time where people would appreciate that. I remember back in the 90s where people would say the 80s were the worst decade for music, things change, or maybe we just forget the bad tracks and only remember the good ones.

But it's not good for the cholesterol. Let's eat responsibly, as my doctor says.

I spent a lot of time on that synth lead. It's actually one synth and two guitars (both slightly out of tune in their own way) playing the same line, resulting in this chorus like effect and a sense of scale. I like how each element in isolation sounds like an asthmatic duck but together it just works.

Guitar like synth which is really guitar + synth. Thank you!

These are a lot of weird samples I used. That section felt empty so I started adding a lot of weird little noises from the my magic box of samples. smile

I feel like you could crank these tracks out, submit them to films and TV shows, get hella paid, and then use the money and time to do the fun projects you really want to do.  This would be great on some sort of techno-thriller procedural crime drama thing
