GarageJam

I had a few ideas of punk/stoner riffs for this simple track. I wish I had a singer but I broke mine so will have to do without for this week.

This captures what the bands I used to play in sounded like. You can ever hear The Stooges influence. smile

Barely more than a sketch, but sometimes it’s ok to be kind and accept to leave beats to be just a sketch.

I dig the raw rocking feel of this.  A singer could work with this, but it's plenty enjoyable on its own.  Great energy.

You please me with your rocking guitar riffs. This is my favorite song of yours this year. You deliver everything on point and did an excellent mix. I want more of your guitar work. Bravo!

Awesome jam! Makes me want to throw a Stooges album on later today for sure!

Anybody got some peanut butter? ‘Cause this week Kedbreak brought the Jam! big_smile

Would’ve loved to see you and your old bands live if this is anything to go off of. Sketch or fully-fledged beat, it’s a rocking’ track either way!

I was thinking about djippy indeed for this one!

Hey you wanna try singing on this track? Please go for it!

I wish I had a singer but I broke mine

wait, what? 😂

The track is indeed good enough to warrant somebody coming and adding vocals. Given that the guitars here are unrelenting the entire way I imagine a strong female vocalist actually. Would fit the frequency ranges left. Nice breakdown at 2:00, definitely a place for some reflective lyrics.

Hell yais! This gets rockin right from the kickstart of the motorcycle.  \m/ Love the segways into each section of the song with those riffs.  Oooh the guitar solo sliding into the lil breakdown part is awesome.  The drums sound great and the mix of bass/guitar is perfect.  If Drew sings please do not break him tongue

Yeah rocking to this. Solid. Stooges! I can hear the singer now. Woah that's a guitar solo! I used to play drums to some stuff like this. Man that was tiring. I miss these kind of jams sometimes though, energy! Let's go!

Love the radio channel surfing at the beginning/end, and everything in-between. It's all very cohesive, and sounds ready to go to me!

Thank you! Re-listening to it, I wish I had the repetition of the riff at the beginning. This gets pretty laborious especially without a singer.

Thank you very much for your kind words! I need to get the guitar out more often, it inspires me in very different ways than programming a sequencer.

We were definitely a chaotic band, with a lot of silliness and always on the verge of the track getting crazy. It was great fun, but not shared with the audience unfortunately.

Well, you know how singers are. They need temperature to be stable, they have to be careful with their throat, they don't handle well being dropped from a couple of floors. Really fragile animals, and it's easy to break a few of them in the making of music.

I want a Nina Hagen type singer! I actually used to play in a Japanese punk band a little more than 10 years ago and the singer was this Courtney Love meets Sid Vicious Japanese girl. Super intense, it made for very interesting live.

Thank you very much for your kind words! Nah, I'd be nice to Drew, he's too much of a gentleman so we can't have physical violence.

Those kinds of bands are more an experience than a musical act. It's like running a marathon while jumping on a pogo stick.
