This is not a polite track. This is not a civilized track. Nature and metal. The jungle is a festival of sex and death.
The river looks appealing when you've been macheting through the jungle the whole day long. This is also unfortunately the opportunity to make the acquaintance of one of the most notorious inhabitants of the local ecosystem - the black caiman and its deathroll.

‹ about the track
This was a track inspired by listening to the Lex Friedman podcast where he interviewed Paul Rosolie in the jungle. Paul supports the protection of the rainforest and is a biologist exploring the ecosystem. They talked about the largest anacondas, about black caimans, how "nature is metal" and how it's a grand festival of sex and death.
There is nothing we can against those large animals, we're just puny monkeys. But there is no hate, no anger, no malice in them. They are just a part in the larger ecosystem.
This track takes me back to my punk/hardcore tracks, which were mostly about raw sonic aggression. Not civilized, pure adrenaline, and lots of percussions. I wanted to go with a KMFM vibe, and use some background vocals. This chant of “sex and death” was done with vocaloid, and applying some pitch shift and distortion. Not very sophisticated but hey.
I was totally feeling the jungle sounds and then a hardcore band burst out of the undergrowth and started melting my face. An interesting juxtaposition of sounds to say the least. The tribal style drums actually work really well with this.

scuse me for a sec while i whip my beard back and foath. Love the drums with those crunchy guitars. The jungle percussion adds a high energy element to it even more. The drums how they come in at 1:57 are awesome and had me tapping along. Oooh the fills! \m/ \m/ The meditative outro is a good way to come down from that injection of energy. Awesome!

The jungle is merciless, full of surprises, and full of animals that science has not discovered yet! For instance the Hardcorus Bandus, a strange pod of weirdly shaped and slightly smelly animals that are recognizable for their terrifying screams!

Nice intensity! And way to keep everything clear and distinguishable, even at the breakneck pace you set.
Thank you! 180BPM, it had been a long time since I pushed the tempo in beats.

damn, this slaps. killer riffs! I liked the juxtaposition with the nature sounds. Vibe reminds me a bit of sepultura ratamahatta
Ah yes I was actually thinking of sepultura, and also of nailbomb. Primal riffing! thank you!

A monster of a song. I noticed the wild brutal vibe. I enjoyed the last 40 seconds very much.
Thank you very much! Yes, actually the last 40s were like an happy accident, as if there was a strange fog in the jungle as the dawn settles in, a strangely alive fog. I think I want to revisit that feel and explore more of the peaceful and meditative experience of the jungle at dawn.

Thank you very much! I needed to get that one out of my system.

The jungle sounds + uptempo, high intensity music really nails the "nature is metal" feeling. This goes soooo hard, very cool.
Nature is indeed metal, relentless, never stops, always moves, recycling life in its endless cycle.

Did not expect the jungle to be rocking this hard, best part of listening to your music is expect the unexpected. So fun, thank you.
You never know what you'll find at the detour of a large tree. Thank you for listening.

I love ALL of the drums in this track. Such a great movement between like tribal sounds and double pedal metal madness... ᕕ(╯°□°)ᕗ
Hahah thank you! Yes the end with double pedal was a bit much, the whole band was exhausted afterward! Virtually of course.

Waaaooooaahhh let's f'ing go!!! I'm head banging. My dog is running away, I'm ready to go tearing through the jungle. You nailed it. Love the interludes with just the drums, my kinda jungle right there. That bridge so good after the intense main section. I think I need to go chill and decompress after this! I'll have to check out that video you shared, I was like oh seems normal nature thing maybe ... wait, aliens? yeah the jungle is an intense place, not like I've really been, but seems intense. You capture that well here, whew.

Love me some riffs. I've been contemplating a. heavy guitar track but I haven't had the time for a while.
Cool receptive vocals at the end! and only you would mix a metal track with lions, monkeys and panpipes. Haha.

is the guitar virtual? love when the bass guitar is by itself
(something about the mud and slime in the jungle made me say slimecore instead of junglecore. and that insane growl in the beginning and the :35 slime bubble)
