Breakbeating robots

By Kedbreak136 on September 25, 2022 12:27 pm

I had a blank page syndrome on Saturday. Weekly beats morphed into Weekend beats morphed into Sunday beats. I need to fix that to be able to build something more interesting.
In the meantime, I went the easy route - hard paced drums, pounding electro bass, some deep impacts, weird samples here and there, 10 minutes in the microwave and voila, ready to serve.

Nothing quite like microwaved beats on a lazy Sunday night. We can't always live that healthy musical lifestyle, so there's always next week! That said, I really enjoy the drums in tracks like this, where you just let yourself go and throw a bunch of things together.

powerful and speedy. your robots doing a fine job. I wish you a successfull, inspirating new week.

Intense! 1:21-1:32 is especially cool. big_smile

Il n'y a pas de honte a avoir des go-to. Très cool choix de synths, ca décoiffe.

You're able to quickly whip up a tasty dish in the microwave.  A fun driving track for sure.

Man I know all about this weekly -> weekend -> daily beats, then somehow you break the spell and get a week in, then next week is weekend, and after that too exhausted and do a thing in a couple of hours. C'est la vie!

What continues to inspire, however, is your superhuman ability to create detailed and banging awesomeness as if that time limit does not exist.

Yes and I really love the subsequent section until 1:46 or so heart

Glad to see that much inspiration is to be found from a rapidly approaching deadline. heart

Yup definitely know the feeling, good to have those go to ideas/templates to whip out a quick track, the sitar sample? was mixed in nicely to give a quick break from the raw energy, also nice touch at the end with the sustained sub bass

Like how the intro screws with you then bang beatssss

Hard paced drums indeed!  It sounds like your drums know kung fu yikes  Your microwave works just fine smile  Also excellent outro Doooomwweeeerp!

lovin' this! heart

Agree... The song after this transition is rad.

Yep I can sure relate to that end of week rush something out! And woah, this gets cookin hot! Hard hitting indeed. I'm awake now! Hey a sitar sounding thing, ha, love that. Great microwave power meal.

Yes indeed! One needs to accept a week where things are low before hitting the gold nugget of inspiration hopefully the following week!

Thank you! I had forgotten about this track and am re-listening to it now, and yeah the drums are pretty hectic. If a real human being had to play that, they would need some kind of intervention after the end of the track!

That is indeed a sitar sample - I always love sitar sounds and more "traditional" instruments against electronic music. The yin and yang of instruments in a way.

That's one rather agile robot!

lol "easy route"

this is really hyper - hilarious contrast from listening to your next track (i'm going in reverse order)

it's like I woke up from a nap and you are violently shaking me "DREW WE HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE FUTURE" and then you throw me on the lightbike and i'm like "KEDBREAK I HAVE A HEADACHE CAN YOU TURN IT DOWN?" and you are like, "NO DREW I NEED THE BEATS TO KEEP ME DRIVING AT PEAK PERFORMANCE" and i'm like "omg dude listen to yourself right now"

I hear ya.  My last few have been Sunday sessions.

This works!!
