Shopping Uptown

By K48R on January 22, 2026 1:35 am

I've been listening to some 1980s Japanese Environmental ambient music this week, so this track started with an FM E Piano and a Juno pad, then built from there. At one point I accidentally clicked a flute sample while the track was playing and it sounded interesting so off we went. I played an electric guitar part which helps break the structure of the grid a little bit.
The mix got a little muddy but I started chasing the dragon there and decided to stop fiddling before I made it any worse.
Hope you enjoy.

Love this. It kind of snuck up on me.

I like those claps!

Thanks for the kind words. The claps are a distorted 909 from Samples From Mars and 808 from the Reverb collection

Chilled out Deppachika BGM, super nice.

That flute absolutely elevates the song. Uptown really is a peaceful place.
