they are here

By jwh on February 25, 2024 10:32 pm

the sound of the ship woke me up
or was i already awake
i had drifted off worried about the nightingale again
the ship vibrated my chest and head
in dirty harmony
the door flew open
they were here
they are here
we are here

This is GREAT. Love the vocal performance and the whole thing has such great atmosphere.

Ooops, did hit the submit comment by mistake! Solid vocal performance. Main and back vocals are spot on.

I really like the bass and guitar tones. Well done.

the lyrics gave me some spooky vibes ala the fx show, The Terror where their ship gets stuck on ice and baaaad things happen.  Love the harmonies and how your voice takes on a different haunted quality with the imagery.

Dark and grungy, great vocals.

This is kind of scary sounding, but really cool.  The music just creates a great sense of tension until it kind of lets up at the end, although it seems ambiguous to me whether it is a happy ending or not.  Nice work.

I love the tempo in this. Such a cool idea for the lyrics. Very poetic yet a tangible narrative. Super cool!

I dig it!

The vocal (?) drone in the background is soooo good, guitar playing and tone are a perfect fit. The harmony on "dirty harmony" into the stripped back ending was really satisfying.

👏👏👏
this my alley right here!thanks!

Love how you placed the guitar in the mix and surrounded the vocals with all kind of nebulous sounds. Very good music.
