Weeklybeats is a 52 week long music project in which artists compose and publicly release 1 song a week for the entire year.

This beat slaps, hard. Love the talkbox & bass combo. I could easily see this track sitting comfortably in a Jet Set Radio/Bomb Rush Cyberfunk-style OST.

I have a problem, where every track I upload "needs" to be as good as the last track I uploaded, if not better. There are a couple other tracks sitting on my hard drive that I haven't uploaded for previous weeks.
For this track, I was trying to break that habit. Had some neat sounds here, but lacked inspiration and wasn't sure where to keep going with it.

I really appreciate that comment. I loved playing JSRF growing up, and I know where to take this track now!

Haha, that St. Anger snare is fantastic. That superwide distorted synth in the middle is sublime. Makes the perfect stage for the centered chopped vocoded vocals. That moment is fantastic. Some daftpunky vibes in those vocoded bits. I enjoyed that!
