Trinity Darkness

By Judgement Act on May 1, 2022 5:04 am

Nestled between the heavily plied trading routes that intertwine the Damascus sector lies Trinity Darkness, a trinary star system of brown dwarfs that carries a dark purpose for those who call it home. Wrapped in a darkness unlike any other settled system, the only station found within is the Tripoint Monastery; a hulking cathedral located at the precise centre of the closest orbit of the three stars that give the system its name.

Reaching this nearest orbit once every 86 standard years, the monastery is ripped to shreds by the massive gravitational forces, giving the cultists residing within their long-awaited release into stellar dust. As the stars drift apart, carrying with them the scattered remains of the devout, the next set of devotees begin construction of the Tripoint Monastery once again.

That cataclysm in the middle is very ominous, gives me the chills
- Ebrit

Reading the description while listening to the tune took me on a journey! Great job on spacey ambient atmosphere. Is that a little excerpt of fiction you spun up for this song or is it a part of something else?

Throat singing like atmosphere! heart heart heart

I like the description, it took me there while listening to the track and really bringing in the imagery. As the high drones enters, it feels like the gravitational pull is adding up. And then it turns into an electronic trance at 1:26 - I did not foresee this change, it's like all the monks pulled in their 80s neon mint green shades and started dancing. Lovely track!

Confirmed!

The sound design and narrative meshed so well in the beginning, I was surprised when the music started.

I guess the newly-ground stellar dust (made with real cultists!) has a boppin' afterlife?  Or maybe thats the next set of devotees building the next one, grooving as they work.
