Slowball

Vocals are new to me so I felt like hitting a song that used them, even if they aren't anything special. Still learning how to mix them but still 60% happy with how this turned out.

Damn dude you killed it.  Vocals sound good especially when you sing in the higher register.  Music was great too, nice work.

fuck yeah dude!  nice work on the vocals. Your voice immediately reminded me of the song The Killing Moon by echo & the bunnymen off the donnie darko soundtrack. The  horns at the end were a nice touch for a great buildup of an outro

Is this vocal week and i didnt get the memo?? Sweet song bro. Nice Work this week.

Really like the deep dirty bass. Good shakers programming too. smile . and those brass at the end, getting epic.

Lovely guitar lines. The switchup to the flat rhythm towards the end is really nice. The brass is a great touch too! The vocals are sitting nicely volume wise but it sounds to me like they're low passed. Really cool overall heart

Very cool man, good work with the vocals.  I agree with @hieme on the low pass observation.  Not sure if that's what you were going for but it sounds really cool in this mix, kinda reminds me of Sonic Youth for some reason.

I'm getting a nice late 90's vibe from this, a movie with a roadtrip or something similar! Really cool compo, happy to hear you sing again!

Nice vocals!! and the drums are great as usual, song's super cool. I get the 90's feel as well.

Very cool chord progression Jim. The brass works really well with the progression. If I may, I too see a dog running up a hill to its family who all thought it was dead and gone to the end of this track. Lots of good feels to it.

I too love the horns at the end. I felt like the mix was pretty unique but it all worked, especially that guitar.

Very cool vibe and song, the vocals hooked me immediately. I'd like to hear more of this!

I like the low bassy vocal. Even made better when you push to the higher register. Vocals could be brighter in the mix in my opinion.  Just a bit so they are not muted.  Volume level is good.  Horns at the end are a great touch!

Thanks dude! I'm really trying to figure out what works. I know nothing about key/tone with my voice haha.

Thanks dude. Shakers and horns have been my jam lately. The sound, like you said, is real epic. I've been listening to The National a ton lately and it's inspired me.

Thank you! I had fun with that ending. I feel it gave a nice change of pace to the static progression of the song. I honestly have no clue what low passed means... haha, but thank you!

Thanks dude. I'm lost on the low passed reference (not that smart, haha). I was going for a Fastball/The National style vocals. I love the "I'm lazy" style with the lower voice.

I'd road trip the hell out of this song! Thanks Gab!

Let's 90s collab. Get some dunkaroos, Echto-cooler and a bop-it. Don't forget your pullover starter jacket!

Damn dude. I didn't want to cry at work.

Thanks! The mix was funky and I honestly didn't spend tons of time on it due to being lazy as f, but I'm glad it worked!

Good news, I plan on trying to hit more of this in the near future! Thanks for listening!

Thank for the feedback. I'm still a rookie at vocal mixing but that's good advice. I'll work with it in the future. Thanks for listening!

Definitely nothing wrong here.
