From Hell to Heaven

By Jokinen on April 26, 2020 10:27 pm

Couple weeks late to the lo-fi thing, if you can call this lo-fi. Wanted to branch out from guitar/bass/drums and test the waters with this oldly found style.

Short and sweet but pleasant and fun.  I like how it builds up and then drops back to just the piano at the end. Almost like a miniature epic.

What did you use for the box pad? It works good.

Thanks! I really wanted it to be longer but was stuck on where to go. It met the minute criteria and I was happy with it.

Everything was straight from FL20. MA Straight Kick & MA Taurus Snare w/ Fruity Reverb. I think that's what you asked about, right? haha

nice beatz

Nice man, very chill.  Normally not a fan of the fake choir sounds but I'm really digging how you used them here.  Lots of hopping around and abrupt pitch changes.  Sounds really cool.

Oh hey, I forgot.  Whats the tag about kissing the homies?

I'm the same with the choirs but I agree it fit it nicely, which was surprising.

YO this is a sick head bobbing beat - piano is perfect

Perfect lofi piano writing, I always find it surprisingly hard to get right. It's such a fun genre though. Good job on the new style!

Cool track and quite a departure from your other work. Like how it builds and the choir sounding pads. Nice work!

Really like this drum groove, a pleasant departure from your usual stuff. Good job.

Dreamy piano and laid back vibes. Well done!
