Farming a Strange Land Pt. 2

By Jokinen on January 26, 2020 11:16 pm

I wrote the part 1 of this song in 2018 and wanted to make a follow up. The direction took a hard left and ended up not being the same style at the part 1, but I'm happy with the finished product. Just for the hell of it, here is my excuse: I didn't have the right GR5 presets to give the neato guitar tones. @demonzor

Dude, when that solo comes in near the end...Fucking awesome.  Love the vibe of the whole tune too, nailed the stange-land feeling.

Very nice bro! Love the guitar solo and all around well put together

Mmmm those pinch harmonics are spicy

Wonderful track, those guitars are lovely. This makes me nostalgic to a time where I listened to the Cranberries on loop.

stunningly beautiful.  nice work on this

Thanks! I'll take the Cranberries reference any day, I think they really perfected the chorus pedal clean tone.

Mighty drums, super-lush guitar, fine deep bass, beautifully emotional guitar melodies...wonderful work!  And I typed that before the heroic solo came in! Well done!

all killer, good job. horns

Ahhh love this sound. Feels very far away, you nailed the vibe heart

This rocks! Good work!

Sounds great! Tasty solo too well done.

Thanks! Thought I'd toss a treat in there for ya, haha.

Great work Jim. This songs rocks. It gives me a new age Thrice vibe. The challenge of writing a slower song, yet still rocking so fucking hard. I feel its worthy to the end of a movie. The Farmer just found out his wife is dead, killed everyone, and is now walking into the sunset of a strange land.

Yes, more sweet ass leads please. All tasty

Whoah... this is great, awesome guitar work...

That's a good enough excuse. These guitars are worth the wait.
