I don't like chiptunes. I appreciate the absolute craftsmanship and mastery that is required to pull them off. The constratins are just mad. But you really have to be the top of the top with harmony and blast me with the best chord progressions like laamaa is able to do, to make me listen to a whole album.

So I kinda surprised myself to have produced something that has chiptune arps but also a pumping bass and kick and I enjoy. While this is no gameboy APU 4 channel madness, it's not using any samples at least. Probably the first track this year that I am actually happy about publishing.

This is great! Love that glidey arp especially

That wub tho

I also am also amazed at what can be done on lsdj, by many of the artists here. Success was found here being inspired by chip tunes, and the m8 certainly provides a strong set of tools to combine many of the elements without the pure restrictions. I like how they were utilized in this track, well done.

Nice work letting on the chord progression and drumbeat do the heavy lifting, leaving room for all the finetuned sound design to shine on top. Those super bright chiptune arps that are usually front and center work well here as a background element. Lots of nice movement going on throughout. Nice one!

Very nice!

Love the vibe of this song.

What’s the kick? This is rad AF, arps and wubs, but those understated almost trance-like stabs, this is giving me industrial music vibes, tho the effect isn’t exactly industrial music. More like this, this is clearly a direction that requires more of you.

That's macrosynth IIRC. I'll send you the bundle.
