Felt the Sane

By endojo on January 31, 2026 12:37 pm

The song seemed to move itself this week. I thought I was just making some neat vocoder sounds, but it just found it's own purpose.

I hate politics, but I hate violence more. Anger did nothing for me in my younger years, and it does nothing for any of us now.

Keep your sane friends close. Tell them they are heard. If nothing makes sense, we can at least walk peacefully together.

Lyrics:

Half brained, missiles aimed
Just looking for someone to blame
Bet the next guy feels about the sane

May be in a power outage,
But don't doubt us
In the big leagues already,
No need to scout us

Only gotta speed walk to out run ya,
Crisscross applesauce now I got the W

Your scuds were duds,
Did you dig your holes for sons?
Did you find your reason,
Were you happy with your gun?

Gripping trauma,
Where's my momma?
The peace you left -
Has left you in pieces

Find me guilty,
I'll plead you're right
Inside my world -
Your hell's my delight

Stay safe and sane heart

Really enjoyed the vocal performance and how the vocoder worked into it. Flavors of Bowie here I liked a lot.

Stay sane heart

Love the off-kilter beat and the way the vocal performance is alienated by the vocoder effects.

Thank you! It turned into a conversation with that other side of the brain. I make a lot of hooks with the PO Speak then run with it. This week did a similar thing.

Interesting track. I dig the different voices. Second the comment about echoes of Bowie, or some other alien maybe.

I'm not sure I've ever gotten any kind of better compliment. It's a very vague comment, but that fits my mind perfectly and how I function. I'm pretty transparent about my influences I think.
