Suddenly

Textbook synchronicity: I worked up  a minimal D Minor chord progression, derived the bass line from that, added some slowed-down, autotuned "Mama" doll cries from the BBC FX library (http://bbcsfx.acropolis.org.uk). A bit of tweaking, and, as they say in the music biz, Viola!

cool!

The mama sounds are very cool.  They almost sound like seals barking or something.  I like the synth work as well.

Wonderfully rich synth tones, and exquisitely alien speech processing on the doll samples!  Beautiful work!

that new bbc library is maaaaad

I thought they had a very "animal" quality as well.

Yeh, I've barely touched it so far.

Thanks, all!

At times it sounds like Irish folk music mixed with synths, cool stuff!

Somehow i found this very soothing.
The processing of the dolls is way nice sounds a lot like some trumpet like instruments.
Cool!

That bass line is so smooth!

My favorite part is what I will describe as the elephant playing the trombone sound smile Great brass sounds all around. That Mamma doll shit is scary but I wouldn't have known it if you hadn't describe it... it's so manipulated. Very cool! Fun track, and as always very inventive.

phenomenal bassline. the vocal manipulation is awesome. Loved to listen a few times and discovering more and more nice details.

Thank you, thank  you! All brass/elephant sounds are the "mama" doll.

Viola! I love that bass!

As others have stated, silky smooth bass, cool use and manipulation of the samples to make them melodic

This has gotta be the opening theme for when Netflix release a reboot ‘Childs Play’ movie or tv series... great stuff! ... Chucky says hi !

Gotta love synchronicity and serendipity.  Some of the best tracks can come from this.  Happens a lot with my film compositions which I LOVE when it happens.  hehe.
Great track this one.  It's lacking the humour of many of your other tracks yet still holds true to your main compositional ideas.  Very enjoyable!

Oooh, I'll chime in too on the excellent bass and sample use big_smile Really good track, makes me think of a mellower Crystal Castles in ways? Sorry if that doesn't make sense outside of my head hahaha

this is wonderful, I like the spaces between bass notes, nice reverby feelings

Cool use of the mama dolls.  Has an irish-folk-synthy sound to it the way they bend with the auto-tune.

Eerily, creepily meditative!

very nice style, has a definite Forest Swords vibe to it. great work

Mellow, and a little creepy. Great bass and a great track!
(I must get around to check out the BBC archives myself.)
