Sleepwalker

Pretty mainstream this time. Vocals by the extremely prolific SackJo22 "A Foolish Game" (http://ccmixter.org/files/SackJo22/46200), occasionally doubled with sampled alto flute. Judicious use of the Rule of Three.

Pretty cool and interesting.  What did you do to get the vocals to sound like they do?  I like it.

Really liking this, nice bouncy vibe.

Nice vocal work!

Not a clue how you made the vocals sound like they were singing thru the flute.  It has a really interesting effect.  I like the pace of everything as well (the piano &  percussion).  Nice job!

a singing trumpet! ,,,, how weird and cool is that?

nice.... good composition, well arranged... dreamy melodic stuff... mix of genres , mix of decades of music ... can really hear some pre 19 hundreds ideas with post 2 thousands influences ... multicenturic piece   :-)

cool ending... very smooth production!

Thanks! I used Live's melody-to-MIDI function to create the Flute line and tweaked it; so, the flutes just doubles the vocal line, except on the last repeat, where I added some ornamentation.

Yeah, Debussy meets Steve Reich (with a bit of Lana del Rey) :-)

Thank you. The real credit goes to SackJo22.

Liking the warm piano ambience, and the vocals are really nice indeed. Subtle development!

Beautiful track, and outstanding work on the vocals. And some extra praise to SackJo22 as well!

I'll get back to the non-mainstream stuff soon :-)

This is so well done and beautiful. Great work! fav'd

The piano sounds great and the effect of the flute doubling the vocal is really effective.  Great production on the whole track.

Thanks both! Flute turned out to be a better choice than trombone after all.

I like this very much. In my mind this is the most accessible song so far. But far distant from being mainstream, which is great.
