Punctuated Equilibrium

By Jim Wood on June 30, 2018 5:21 pm

2 tracks of M4L Multi synth, randomly switching modes. Indecisive harmony.

I like how parts of it are really soothing and relaxing and then it just gets interrupted by these awesome glitchy sounds.

Thanks! That's just what I was going for.

Full lush sound. But so moody. Lots of emotion and wonder. I like all the sounds coming out of nowhere. Each is so rich and well placed in the mix with the smooth undercurrent. Very cool!

Thanks for assuming I was in control, but the sound bursts from the Multi(s) were the result of random mode changes. It never never sounded the same way twice until I exported it.

Great atmosphere, feels like walking into a futuristic underground complex where my senses slowly get corrupted and glitch out as I venture further, it's beautiful!

Fantastic!

oooo totally digging this! heart i think you might like "blue orb" from the We Love Katamari OST. similar mixture of ambient and glitch! keep up the amazing work

Very cool, it sounds alive.

This is real space work!
Sounds are awesome nice and on point.
When my song was the construction of a star this one is the rise of that star, didn't know that it would be so beautyfull wink
Sorry, just saw an anivery presentation of 2001 in cinema... i will remain in space for some time wink

Very nice sound design, good and moody!

"indecisive harmony" would be a great band name!

this feels like the noises my brain makes when i try to get into a good creative flow state & keep getting interrupted - glad it ended mellow like the flow was found again!

very cool stuff... holds its  slow momentum wonderfully. has also some nice jazzy moods.

The smooth pads are sampled tail-ends (lots of reverb and delays).

The only We Love Katamari I could find online was Michelle Heafy's "Everlasting Love."

Pretty cool. Thanks!

Love how you set a moody atmosphere, and then break it up. Great title for this track, it really feels like an equilibrium being disturbed.

Actually, the title came first. ::)

Love the sustained tones which are then intercepted with lovely glitchiness  smile

Lovely rich atmosphere made edgy with the glitch. I like indecisive harmony.

Stick around. There's more to come. ::)

Lovely pads that reminded me a bit of the recent Twin Peaks season (the scary parts). Nice work!

I like that! heart
