Rainy Fugue

By jemmons on April 3, 2022 5:13 pm

This week was going to be techno on the 404. But then it started to storm, and the rain on our tar roof sounds just like a big, thunky, canvas tent and low-passed piano was all I could be bothered with.

I went to save this and there are, like, five songs in my music folder already named “Rainy Fugue” — so I guess it's a mood? The rain turned to snow before the day was out, but by that point the song was finished.

Lovely! heart

"Comfortable" sounding, even though it kept me guessing and never resolved in any way I thought it would. There are definitely motifs, but I don't believe they're ever just repeated.  And especially that major chord at the end, what a wake-up call. I loved this. I'm on my 4th listen already.

Sounds like the perfect day to stay in and not be bothered.  The track captures the mood and ends with a ray of sunshine.

Enjoyed it! The chromatic bits give it a bit of a creepy/mysterious vibe.
