If there’s one thing all my music has in common, it’s that it’s way too complicated ;-) I’ve been really working on my minimalism lately — ruthlessly stripping away everything until only the essential remains.

This might be the closest I’ve gotten so far. I’m not there yet, but I do think it’s a better song for it.

It worked really well!! I was engaged the whole time, it has great progression and sound choice smile heart

Super fun, love the portal esque vibes throughout big_smile

I could feel the muscles in my shoulders relax listening to this. Tons of lovely sounds in this: the filter flashes of the opening arp, the slowly morphing pads (especially around 2:00, one of my favorite moments), the slow thunder bass around 2:45, and the high arp from 3:20ish on (my other favorite moment. Is this your JV again?). High ping-pong perc is classic. Nice work

Thanks so much! When One thing I love about limiting myself to a handful of sounds getting to really obsess over the ones I have. Sometimes that ends up being just another too-complicated-thing. I’m glad that works, here.

I actually added this quite late in the process, so it’s ITB. It’s normally the type of thing I’d use Logic’s ES2 for, but I’ve been exploring the new Bitwig, so didn’t have it available. I used FabFilter’s Twin 3 instead, and am never disappointed by it. It does a great job of being a really full featured VA while keeping everything you don’t need out of the way.

That quiet part feels so ethereal.
