I Promise You're Safe

### Production Details
I've been exploring my little Roland Aira J-6 a little bit more and found that I can have a lot of fun with it, even though it is a super limited device. While fiddling with the J-6, I saw there were a couple of chord banks titled "Pop Min". So I loaded them up and found a few chords that sounded super nice together, one of which worked as a particularly pleasing closer and resolution to the progression.
I then started messed around with the individual notes of a few of the intermediate chords to make things flow a little bit better and then sent it all to the M8. There, I added a little twist on the second repetition of the final chord just to make it even more pleasing. I then started adding a melodic line. Once that was done, I added a second harmonizing melody that would sometimes play with and other times against the main melody. Lastly I added the saw and noise tracks that provided some more grounded anchoring to the tune.
All the voices are from the M8's WAVSYNTH engine. The only embellishment here is the reverb added on the saw wave.
### Diary and Chatter
Hi there, people! This week I was able to actually get some musical work done early!!! I started working on this in a waiting room on Monday (or maybe Tuesday, I can't exactly remember). I also had the chance to comment on a handful of weekly beats songs, too, which felt great. This weekend I also took some time to catch up with old comments from the M8 Community Jam, which I help run.
The idea of safety has been in my head a bit lately. For multiple reasons, actually. And there was something about this chord progression that, to my ears, emanated tenderness and protection.
Anyways, I hope y'all are doing well and that your loved ones are all safe and sound.
Peace!
