I've been really vibing with Princent Vice and nedsferatu's dnb plus 303 tracks, and I finally decided to take a real stab at it. I cut my teeth on things like Konflict - Messiah back in the long long ago, and while I wasn't trying to put together something as world changing as that in a week, I wanted to try and capture some of the dark and aggressive nature of dnb from that era.

It was a fun diversion on drum programming for sure. Instead of 4 on the floor with some turnarounds, there's a lot in the breaks. I don't know how well it comes out in the final mix, but there's no repetition. It's 64 bars complete with all of the velocity and pitch ramps a jungle boy could love. I used some Ableton trickery to record MIDI from a number of handmade breaks and jumble them into entirely new patterns.

Konflict - Messiah

You have my full attention. What a fun trip. More like this please

Super solid jam, lots of energy and that bass is massive! dig the brief ambient vibe towards the center before slamming back in with the lead synth and resumed energy.

Killer breaks! I’ve never attempted to record drum breaks like this but you inspire me to. Well done! Nice 303 work. favorited

So you're telling me you made the breaks yourself first and then, on top of that, still were able to jumble it all together and get this? That's incredible, mad respect!!! I super feel the aggressive and energetic backbone in this, especially in the acidy stabs at around 2:20. Awesome stuff!!!

Moody. That sound is warm and fuzzy, in a very cool way. Nice one

this is sick!! your 303 use is inspiring for sure, i love the layering. The big bass really makes my brain go brrr. favorited and downloaded

whoa this is really good! great work smile

Great energy! smile Those multiple pads are very pleasant. Especially the super "dreamy" ones.

Yes yes yes!

Love the breaks, love the bass. The variety all through the piece was great, but it had an amazing flow, a consistency and energy that binds and and propels it. Agree with the others, more please!

YES! This is what I WISH my tracks sounded like
