Art Was Attempted

"This will be our reply to violence: to make music more intensely, more beautifully, more devotedly than ever before."

So it goes.

So *something* goes. For now - until it becomes something else. Yet, still - the same.

Featuring bass clarinet, and breathing.

Awesome job, some real emotion there
Also your recording setup sounds smooth af

That clarinet sound's got some teeth, I love that! You're very good at it, too. I used to play a little, but nowhere the fluency you demonstrate here. But at least it lets me appreciate what you're doing here.

Thanks! There's really no substitute for a good condenser mic and a quiet room.

Thanks for the kind words! Clarinet is basically the thing I care about, or at least the element of music I aspire for some level of mastery. As with all practice, it hits that point of self-reinforcement where it feels like a meditation or a release, and I think that's what I'm always reaching for. That's perhaps where the emotions @doomscrolling mentioned are coming from, as well.

What a wonderful track.  So ...  exploratory.  I want to see this as a one-person show in an empty subway.

Definitely sounds like some interesting reverb possibilities! Will have to see if I can find "subway" impulse responses...

Cinema in the hall
