zepto's dream

By Jason Nijjer on February 11, 2024 5:35 pm

Big thanks to RajaTheResidentAlien for making his zeptocore explorations available for download.  Chopped up pieces from I think four different downloads to create some drum racks in Ableton.  Wasn't sure how I was going to use them, but didn't want it to sound like ripping off a RajaTheResidentAlien track, hopefully there is still some essence of them here.  Thanks for listening.

ohhhhh so beautiful! -> how you brought out the grit in a very choice/tasteful way, slowing things down to appreciate all the deeply processed details. thank you, so honored to provide inspiration to such a well-crafted excursion of mystical wonder well-grounded in that bassy big-beat bounce you always do so well! heart

Oooh great idea sampling from the raja_ear_candy_library smile  I like how the slowed down bassy part sounds with those unkle/massive attack like strings.  The head nodder of a beat ties it altogether especially on those thuddy kicks.  Nice work!

This is supergood. I love flutter in contrast to sharp beats. Gimme more.

Downtempo for downtempo

The percussions sound like little tight explosions, like fireworks in the sky. The sparse strings and atmosphere make a great track.

Awesome idea, and really intriguing track. Kedbreak spot on: "fireworks" Nice space in this, and cool sounds happening all around. Kind of mysterious events.
