the sky was the color of television

Played around some more with VCV rack after watching some very helpful youtube videos, starting to understand the basics of setting up simple patches and starting to experiment a bit more.  Created somewhat of a generative type patch, as there are 2 different voices on one track and 2 more on another track with each having a 50% chance of firing, with lfo's at different rates modulating the vco's.  Rest was done with some soft synths.  Very simple, but hopefully enjoyable and enough variation with the modulation, thanks for listening everyone, 2 more to go!

Love how those key chord stabs sound throughout the vcv drips n bleeps.  The percolating effect of the synths with the bass had me drifting into calm territories smile  Well done!

This was so beautiful and calming. Thank you. Had to listen on repeat.

Jason.

Ha ha, yes that Chiba City Sky

So cool! Great work. Lots of cool detail to dig in here, in this soundscape. Painting the visions of this world so well and taking us there. Awesome that you built that patch!

Ohh the generative sparkle and pads is beautiful but its that subtle, syncipated ambient kick that just wommmmp brought it all together all at once. I feel like that can be the strength of generative patches - the more deterministic punctuation that creates a heartbeat to push the melody along. The piano is a beautiful touch too, wonderful start to your vcv exploration!

You know, it's interesting to see what people do with Gibson's stuff musically
this is very relaxing

I don't know what videos you watched to inspire this but wow, so chill, interesting and beautiful at the same time. Great song title as well.

Thank you, the title just sounded good and I guess it did somewhat influence what I was creating.  Coincidentally I just came across the record “Neuromancer” by Black Rain at a local record store a few days ago, worth checking out.
