past, present, and future

Like most people it has been a busy holiday week, almost didn't have anything to submit this week, but fortunately things fell into place yesterday and was able to put this last one together.  Having lots of fun exploring the world of VCV rack, used it for two of the synth sections on this one.  Goal for this coming year is to continue to learn more of it and find more unconventional ways to incorporate it.

End of another season, hopefully not the finale, would love to be back in 2026!  Another fulfilling and rewarding year of listening to great inspiring music.  Thank you to the entire weekly beats community.  90% of all my tracks were started on Thursday morning, and then completed on Saturday and Sunday mornings, not sure what I will do now to fill that time.  I'm so grateful to everyone who would stop by each week to give a listen and post a comment, everyone is busy so I appreciate you taking the time.  Happy that I was able to complete all 52 weeks, this year I had the most fun making music, I will take a break but will definitely still keep creating something to keep that part of the mind active.  Peace and love to weekly beats, everyone have a great year.

This gave me a serious Legion season 2 vibe - those announcements about anomalies in the hallways of a strange military complex, and those interstitials about ideas and the nature of time travel. It's a vibe and a complete moment and a really good little narrative nod, really enjoyed this.

Congrats on making it through the year, and enjoy making more music to come heart

Ooof immediate warm left in the sun tape vibes from the intro.  The vocal samples def remind me of Legion and also a bit of "Dispatches from Elsewhere".  I really enjoyed both shows.  Both have awesome scores but Dispatches has 1/2 of NIN with Atticus Ross.  Such a mellow chill vibe with awesome drums that punch thru that warmness so nicely.  It's always a pleasure to hear your music each week on here.  I always look forward to hearing your journeys into excellent grooves.  I hope you get to explore more of your Dad's records and have some relaxing outdoor trips too!  Have a happy new year and hope to see ya in '25!

VCV rack masterfully mixed with the rest of the music here. A very pleasant result, the drums sound great against the Boards of Canada-like boingy synths. The chill mood is a great way to finish WB24. I started with a similar aim, but then somewhat overdid it. This stays calm and subtle the entire way through, which is great.

Congratulations on keeping the streak alive in 2024. WB is over. We did it! Hope 2025 treats you well.

Another great song! What you're doing with VCV sounds great! Hope the exploration continues. That's a really good sample too, truth - all an illusion wink
I could really listen to an album and more of your beats, always hit right. Thanks for being here and sharing your amazing work and thanks for sharing comments. I totally relate to your thoughts above. What a great community here, I hope we're all back in in 2026, and now time to figure out what to do with some extra time!

I really like how introspective and contemplative this feels. Awesome use of the vocal sample, too - it feels very fitting to the overall picture you're painting here.
Congrats on the huge milestone, super cool!!! Wishing you a music filled 2025, see you back here in 2026 smile
