free life, fresh air

By Jason Nijjer on September 8, 2024 5:09 pm

Came across the vocal sample on the citizen dj website (https://citizen-dj.labs.loc.gov/), fitting as the wildfire smoke came back and yes I also want "fresh air". Thanks for listening, I hope all is well in your part of the world, see you all next week.

hoping for more fresh air for all of us..
nice track/mix, Jason

I really like the overall vibe, and in particular the soft choral arpeggios in the background.

love the juxtaposition of the very mechanical noises and this sample!

One thing that I struggle with too - this sounds way better on my headphones than my laptop or phone speakers

The chillout beat and pads against the vocal sample make it a rather unique protest song, it's rather subtle and doesn't feel like it's forcing anybody's attention. But the message is there. Nice!

slick drums and has a sweet old school trip hop lounge feel to it that had me swayin.  Hoping the air is clearing up by ya!

Oooh feeling that bass, I like the flow of this, airy, like fresh air, I could almost feel some bossa nova in there. Yes to fresh air. Sorry the fires are bad up there. We were somehow spared the smoke, but fires still all around the NW as usual, I guess the winds where in our favor.
