Purchased a used Pittsburgh Taiga desktop synth late last year, haven't used it much, makes some very interesting sounds but often don't find a use for them in my music.  This week I was determined, started with recording two patches from the Taiga, heard in the second half of the track.  I think the grittier distorted drums work better with it, not my usual type of drums, but I think the Taiga fit well with these ones.  Hopefully can get some more use of the Taiga in coming weeks as it really does make some very nice sounds.  Recorded some rain falling while cooking dinner out on the patio on Friday, used that for some texture at the beginning of the track, my son has been sick now for a few days, I think you hear him coughing at the start.

never heard of the taiga dang that is rad sounding
hope your son is feeling better!

That Taiga is burning bright.

The handclaps are awesome.

Great textures on this one.

woah never heard or seen the taiga before! Those knobs look fun yikes I'm all for these dark and gritty sounds.  The airy pads are an excellent contrast to the drums. The groove of the drums is bad ass \m/ m0ar taiga! and hope your son is feeling better soon!

Normally distorted drums kind of wash out the rest of the the song, but you did an excellent job with this mix. There's so many random noises in all of my recordings. It kind of adds to the mood. Great work.

That snare sounds like an astronaut breathing into a radio. Love the percussion

def an expansion from your usual palette, but still very Jason.
drums sound killer, and you've got such a nice atmosphere swirling in the surrounding fog

the vocal glitches are like a captivating lure it blends extremely well with the drums smile

Hypnotic and very textured. Good stuff!

More Taiga please.  smile

Love from a hardware synth nerd.
