bleak

This was probably the most difficult week I had coming up with something, started really late in the week and then felt like I was trying too hard to get something going.  It all felt very forced.  One positive I tried VCV rack for the first time and one of the synth's on this comes from a quick simple patch I put together just playing around with the software.  Very excited to play around more with VCV rack, budget way to get into some modular and test it out without too much commitment.

Not forced at all, it flows very naturally and has a really nice dynamic across the arrangement. And sounds way better than my first VCV experiments lol. This is an amazing start, and a great track, I am really grooving ti that beat.

The panned out pads sound so soothing.  The beat had me instinctively nodding along.  Feels like I'm watching a sunrise thru the bedroom window with one eye covered.  Awake but not but appreciating the beauty.  Thank you for that trip smile  lovely outro too.

it may have felt forced making it, but it doesn't sound like that at all.

feels laid back and so crisp. like stepping outside on a super cold morning while the sun is coming up. frozen ground crunching underfoot.

well done, Jason

I can really empathize with the feeling of frustration when you feel that you are forcing a track to go somewhere, feeling very artificial, intellectual, and not necessarily resonating with something deeper. The good news though is that the listeners do not get to see that and just take the track as is, and may find something that resonates with them in there. I enjoyed the track, especially the realistic hits that really gave an interesting texture to the track. I wish you the best of luck and energy for the remaining weeks!

I hear you on hard to get started. Nice when there's some starting point like at least going to play with this or that patch or synth. Great idea to play with VCV before going full into modular. I have thought about that too. This is nice chill energy, like how it increases in energy and evolves. Huge low end, nice.
