33 or 45? you decide

By Jason Nijjer on May 15, 2016 6:36 pm

Not sure what to think about this weeks submission, set the tempo to 40 bpm and started making the track from there, could not decide what tempo it sounded better at.  Reminded me of listening to records and not knowing what speed it should be played at, often not until half way through the record and then some vocals come in, only to realize i've been listening at the wrong speed.  Vocals taken from a youtube video, can't remember what I searched to find the video.

Nice slugstep beat smile Maybe fluctuate between the tempo at certain points? Almost like you accidentally hit the turntable or something. Just a thought smile Nice job!

Very cool slow feel to this.
(The idea of 33 or 45 reminds me of the Sevens series of releases from Touch, that intentionally did not have rpm specified so that the listeners instead were encouraged to select the speed they preferred.)

Great suggestion, that would have been interesting

Resident Advisor should have it's own "slugstep" section, for sure smile
