Holding Pattern

This one was a bit painful. I started three times with different patches, but in the end I really liked the hook I landed on with this last one. I'm not super happy with the overall arrangement, it could use another few layers and more voices that come in sparsely at certain times, but fuck it, yolo, ship it!

Patch notes:
Voices in order of appearance were:
- Vhikk X with a VCA to rein it in
- Composite bass out of Virt Iter Legio (in bass mode this time) through Procyon, layered with a suboctave sine wave from Three Body through Neptune lowpass.
- Lead: Monumatic.

THIS RIG!!! Good lord. And such a tasty track with all that spaghetti. No jank detected, only tasty synths.

I could hover here for a while heart

Nice deep drive.

I like how the hi part of the spectrum appears only way later on the track (and still kind of not that much hi-end)

That is very cool.

Love this, love when the hats come in, very subtle and tasteful but adding just what's needed. Main synth is bold and hits just right. Love the addition of the ride later. I think it's often possible to add tok much to a track like this, but I think this was perfect!

Minimal and driving - very well done!

That modular setup is impressive. I wouldn't even know where to start. Great track!

Bass has a nice, almost formant/vocal sound at times, super cool. Really nice driving beat

Ahhhh what a fantastic kick. I love hearing Virt Iter on bass, always feels like a neglected module. Chords and the progression make this piece tho, unexpected and such a great groove. I gotta look up Monumatic lol sounds fantastic!

that kiiiick.
I can just see my friends and me at a festival headbobbing and enjoying the sun while this is playing.

chills. no bullshit. before the lead came in I was like this is rad, minimal, just enough. and then suddenly we're in my favorite place as the pretty sounds echo out. love the stompy kick, love the hat changes for energy. I'm with neon, this gave me GAS for the monumatic.
