Filler Music

By Janky Jams on March 1, 2026 2:44 pm

Not feeling it this week due to some weird health bullshit, but I didn't want to break my streak, so... here's something short and simple. Basically just a little loop with some layers fading in and out. The kind of thing you might hear during a scene transition in a low budget cyberpunk film, maybe.

Patch notes:
- Bass: Vhikk X
- Chords: Monumatic
- Monotonic lead: Cursus Iteritas Alia through Serge VCFS Bandpass
- Arps: Ensemble Oscillator through Ikarie
- Drums as always, Bohm on kick duty and WMD drums (Clutch, Crucible, Fracture) for the rest.
- Insert FX from Desmodus Versio and Oxi Meta
- Send FX added in Ableton, Valhalla Supermassive reverb and stock ping-pong delay.

See you next week!

This is such a cool vibe. Feels very at home in a cyberpunk mystery game. Amazing work as always.

Nah, this is great. The only thing it's filling is my ears with dope music. Glad you got something done this week! Hope you feel better soon

This filler music is aspirational.

Man, this is great. Such a cool and tasteful vibe, great sounds throughout. That arp is just perfect.

Really sorry you haven't been feeling well, but this ain't filler for me! Nice job as always!

Filler? Filler?! big_smile I can geek out over just the precision of this snare. The one thing I'd call out for improvement is the level on that plucky lead in the second half (2:34). Lower that just a smidge.

I absolutely adore the bounce in the beat. So groovy.

Mmm that plucky synth is ace, I love how it's almost crushing out.

This has a sweet bounce to it.

If This is filler sign me up for fillerfest smile

it's always so strange when someone who makes music like you usually do make something short and simple and it's one of the finest vintages of music ever.
