You know that feeling when you think you'll try to be clever and merge a few ideas and vibes into one thing but it really doesn't end up the way you imagined it...? Yeah, this is that...
The intro riff is a fairly new idea, and I smooshed it together with an old riff sitting in the vault (the riff at 2:25) and wrote some new bits and lyrics to piece it all together. It is quite experimental for me, some things worked, some not so much. I am crazy tired, I had some other stuff to get done when I intended to work on this, so I ended up pretty behind. This will probably need a revisit down the road.
This is my first WB2026 where I've been up at ridiculous o'clock to finish the song, and I am sad about that because I had been doing so well at avoiding that bad habit from previous years, and it's still not where I hoped it would be, but oh well...
