The intro is something a came up with yesterday while trying to get started with a song, but a lack of motivation didn't really take it anywhere. I started trying some drone vocal ideas to differ from the main melody so they weren't competing, and it strangely reminded me of another idea I had from some time ago, so I attempted to merge them.

Unlike last week, thankfully these two ideas were more compatible, so I wrote some lyrics and a structure of sorts and here we are.

It is another experiment in breaking away from my typical pop writing, so I'm not sure it entirely works, but least I tried new things.

The drone vocal kinda ended up too boring, but I didn't have time to rewrite and re-record, so I tinkered with some effects to make it slightly less boring. In hindsight I probably should have transposed up a little.

I'm annoyed I couldn't find something a bit more interesting to do with the beats, because the loop is literally the placeholder I started with, but the rest of the song took the time I had available. Some bits to work on.
