Love & Lies

This one goes further back than last weeks... yikes... 
While I was studying music at TAFE in 2011 there was a 'songwriting class' which wasn't so much a songwriting class as it was a lecturer going on about his achievements and dropping music industry names and such. One lesson though, he tasked us with finding our own private place around campus and attempt writing a song in half an hour. The lesson itself seemed like a pointless exercise because once we showed the class what we each came up with that was it, I don't think it even counted towards grades 
Anyhoo, I digress... the point of that story is this is the song I wrote in that 'lesson', and much like last weeks song, it was a staple of my solo acoustic gigs up until I stopped a few years ago, so this recording serves as it's liberation from the prison of my mind. It's a pretty simple composition so I tried to make it a little more interesting with some new layers rather than go with the original solo acoustic version, and because of that, this isn't quite how I envisioned this song back then, but here we are
I got pretty lazy in the finish up because I am berry tireds, but it does the job.
It's time to put away the wine
She is drunk most of the time
It's hard to keep control of this
She's becoming quite a risk
Hazardous and whimsical

Although I tried to hit the brakes
It is almost far too late
