Moving Images on a Monitor

By Jackmsimpson on February 28, 2026 10:36 pm

This is a song inspired by watching my Daughter, Joni, toss and turn in her sleep on a her baby monitor, treading that very fine line between slumber and a sudden awakening.

Still in Open C - I am very much enjoying this new approach to guitar, as well as being inspired by some mid-west emo music that I have been tuning into lately.

Thanks for all of the positive and constructive feedback on any of my tunes so far! have a good week, and I hope you enjoy!

loving the open C emo, it's such a classic heart

tune is very pretty. ur voice sounds great! hope your daughter is doing great heart that drop in with the distortion is sublime!

This is fantastic.

Melody is great, love how playful it is rhythmically. Great vocals as well! And there’s this little high guitar part behind your voice in the chorus that is this perfect little accent. But when the distortion kicks in around 3:30? Bliss. Such a good song, another favorite.

Sweet and sappy, a fine combination of flavors
